Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about Chaldean numerology and the Numara calculators.

What is Chaldean numerology?

An ancient numerology system from Babylon that assigns numbers 1 to 8 to letters by their sound. It is widely used in India for name, mobile and business numerology.

Which name should I use?

Use the name you use most in daily life: the one people call you and you write on social media and visiting cards.

Is my data saved?

No. All calculations run in your browser. We don't store your name, date of birth or mobile number.

Why are my results different on another website?

That site probably uses the Pythagorean system, which numbers letters alphabetically. Chaldean and Pythagorean give different name numbers.

What is the difference between birth number and life path?

The birth number comes only from the day you were born and describes your personality. The life path uses your full date of birth and describes your life direction.

Can numerology predict the future?

Numerology is a symbolic tool for reflection and planning. It is not scientifically proven and should not replace professional advice.

Should I change my name spelling?

That is a personal choice. If you do, keep the pronunciation the same and use the new spelling consistently. Never feel pressured to pay for it.

Are the calculators really free?

Yes. Every tool on Numara is free and needs no sign-up. The site is supported by advertising.
