In many Indian families, horoscope matching (kundli milan) is a familiar step before marriage. Numerology offers a simpler, complementary way to look at compatibility. It uses only dates of birth and names, so anyone can try it in a minute.

What is compared

  1. Birth number to birth number: how the two personalities feel day to day.
  2. Life path to life path: whether long-term goals and life direction align.
  3. Name number to name number: how the couple come across socially and communicate.

A simple compatibility guide

NumberMost harmonious withNeeds more effort with
11, 2, 3, 5, 96, 8
21, 2, 3, 54, 8, 9
31, 2, 3, 5, 96
41, 5, 6, 7, 82, 4, 9
51, 3, 5, 6Few strong clashes

71, 2, 4, 5, 68, 9
84, 5, 6, 7, 81, 2, 9
91, 3, 5, 6, 94, 8

Schools differ in the details. Treat this as a conversation starter, not a verdict.

Reading the result wisely

A "challenging" pair doesn't mean a relationship is doomed. It usually points to different natural styles. Take an 8, which is serious and cautious, with a 1, which is fast and independent. They may argue about pace, but together they can build something strong if they respect each other's approach.

Likewise, a "perfect" match on paper still needs communication, kindness and shared values. Real compatibility is built through everyday behaviour.

Practical ways to use it

  • Use the numbers to understand why your partner reacts the way they do.
  • Look at each other's communication and relationship traits in your number profiles.
  • Plan important events, such as an engagement or a housewarming, on dates that match one of your lucky dates.
